Your day starts with a round trip ticket on Amtrak Business class on the Pacific Surfliner, departing Los Angeles Union Station around 11 am. With this, you are guaranteed a seat.
Once on board, Amtrak Business class provides coffee, water, orange juice and pastries.
Around Chatsworth, you will receive a snack pack and an individual bottle of red or white wine! You can also purchase additional food and beverages on Amtrak from the Cafe (Mimosas are approximately $10).
For the rest of the trip, you can follow along our ROUTE page to locate certain points of interest along the Pacific Surfliner Route.
Once we arrive at the Santa Barbara Transit Station, the WineLiner will help familiarize yourself with the area in case you would like to explore Santa Barbara on your own.
Since you have 2 wine tasting experiences included, we will start your experience with one of our favorite wine tasting rooms in the Funk Zone, State Street or even the pier. Most of these tasting rooms have options to purchase food to eat with your wine tasting or for take out if you would like to bring food back on the train. Feel free to purchase bottles of wine to take home with you, as well.
For those who want to go off on their own and explore, there is always the Arts & Crafts Show along Cabrillo Blvd on SUNDAYS ONLY. Just be sure to be back at the Santa Barbara Transit Station by 4:30 pm. If you miss the train – it’s a pricey ride share back home!
The WineLiner guides will then bring you to one of our other favorite tasting rooms for your 2nd experience, with an option to purchase food and wine to take home.
Often, we include a wine tasting on Stearns Wharf for with a view of the gorgeous Pacific Ocean!
Around 4:15 pm, we will finally guide you back to the Santa Barbara Transit Station to depart at 4:30 pm. Just a STRONG REMINDER: If you are on your own, be sure to be back at the Santa Barbara Transit Station by 4:30 pm. If you miss the train – it’s a pricey ride share back home!
Also, on Amtrak Business Class, you should receive another snack pack and another individual bottle of red or white wine!
Assuming no delays, we will arrive back to Los Angeles Union Station around 7:40 pm.
